Looks like I’m not the only one celebrating a birthday. New Röyksopp coming soon! Hooray!!! You can download the track featured here from their website.

Or at least everyone wants to be at some point in their lives, no? And these days, you don’t need to spend a fortune on high end turntables and hundreds of vinyl records to pull it off successfully.

All you need to bang out a sick mix is a decent controller and a laptop… and the right tracks, of course. If I ever had $385 to burn frivolously, I might consider dropping it on one of these, no doubt.

On a lighter note from the last post…

I love these boys so hard and this most recent offering may be their best yet — cleverly crafted lyrics throughout as per usual, stellar performances from each esp. rocking the euro accents, and high production values with ridiculously amazing wardrobe and viewing availability in HD. But perhaps most importantly, the music composition is just so bang on fantastic and it looks like this is just a small taste what’s coming very soon. The Lonely Island’s debut album “INCREDIBAD” will be in stores Feb. 10, 2009. You know I’ll be counting down the days.

What colour would your portable disco be?

Back in September, a couple of friends of mine were working on a short film treatment. On a whim, they had asked me to throw together a short edit of the project they were shooting – just something quick and dirty to see what I was capable of putting together.

3 months later, after numerous overnight editing sessions and countless hours of painstaking colour correction, I finally finished my “music video” version of A Mercenary Tale. It’s still not exactly the way I’d envisioned it turning out. But at least now it’s done. Next!
