Baby House
1
My basement home studio has been under renovation for the past 2 months due to water leakage. During that time, a section of the room had to be cleared. So, instruments were stored in the bedroom and computers sat on the living room coffee table for most of the summer. The house isn’t very big to begin with and the reduced space made it feel even smaller. Needless to say, making music was nearly impossible. But today, my partner-in-crime and I were able to start moving equipment back into the space. Afterwards, one of the first things we did was finish mixing a little house song we’ve been sitting on since the beginning of the summer. I’m glad to finally be able to share it now. The title is an ode to the place we call home and to a genre of music we both love. Enjoy!

As you know, I like to make music on all of my fun toys. But sometimes, I’ll collaborate and play with my partner in crime, Carly Rhiannon (who also composes some pretty rad tunes of her own, by the way). Here’s a thin slice of what we sound like collectively under the moniker, Fake Date.
If you dig what you hear, then send us a reply over on twitter and insist that we post some more songs. Please and thanks!
