Animal Crossing Remixed

I love the video game, Animal Crossing: Wild World. When I first started playing it, I created a “Feng Shui” video that was part tutorial + part item bragging. Now years later, the obsession continues with this quick impromptu remix I made using a short sample from my favourite K.K. Slider tune. The song is called K.K, Cruisin’ and the bootleg version (used here) is heavily west coast influenced. Though, his live coffee house version is also pretty chill. I might do a full length remix at some point. Until then, enjoy this tasty sample!

This track is my entry for this year’s Roland Synth Contest. I first wrote this song about 8 years ago on my acoustic guitar, but I re-worked it here with an electromantic feel. It’s been a long time since I’ve recorded and I was mixing right down to the bitter deadline end! But I’m glad and proud to say that it’s done now. Even if I don’t win, I still had loads of fun making this. I hope you have just as much fun listening to it.

Cottage Chronicles
1I was lucky enough to spend the Labour Day long weekend with some friends at a gorgeous lake-front cottage near Saint-Jérôme, Quebec. I took these last fleeting moments of summer as my opportunity to experiment with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 a little bit.

Sunglasses At Night
0Last night, I performed at the 3rd monthly Toronto #twuneup event. It was the “CanCon edition”, so I thought it would be best to cover the 80′s classic hit, Sunglasses At Night by Corey Hart. Please note that some people in the audience came prepared and are actually wearing their sunglasses at night AND inside. Also, robot voices and melodicas make everything 100x better.
